Chicken manure is a high-quality organic fertilizer, containing a large amount of organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and a variety of trace elements, cheap and cost-effective, which can effectively activate the soil, improve soil permeability, as well as improve the problem of soil consolidation, and is a widely used and easily available organic fertilizer in agricultural production. However, when using chicken manure for fertilization, it must be fully fermented. The following will introduce several ways to ferment chicken manure into organic fertilizer.
Fresh chicken manure
I. Fermentation method for chicken manure with the water content of about 50%
(such as chicken manure for broiler chickens)
As we all know, the manure of caged chickens, whether they are laying hens or broilers, can have a water content of about 80%, which makes it difficult to pile up. In contrast, chick manure in the brooder is relatively dry and does not have a high water content of about 50%, so it is relatively easy and convenient to ferment.
Operation method:
1) First, mix 10 kg of warm water with “poultry manure special high-temperature bacteria fermenting agent” and ferment for 24 hours, we call it activating strain.
2) Sprinkle the activating strain with 1 cubic meter of chicken manure, mix it briefly, pile the chicken manure into more than 1 meter high and about 1.2 meters wide for fermentation, cover the film or straw on top in low- temperature season. 15 days or so, the fermentation can be completed and thus become organic fertilizer.
2. Fermentation method for chicken manure with a moisture content greater than 60%
(such as caged egg-laying chicken manure is generally above 80%)
Chicken manure with large water content is difficult to pile up for fermentation, need to supplement part of the auxiliary materials (such as sawdust, uniform bran, etc.) to adjust the moisture, the ratio of auxiliary materials to chicken manure is 1:1. After the moisture is adjusted and then fermented by following per under the operation steps of the first method above.
The fermented chicken manure can be used as the mother manure to ferment fresh chicken manure (the second fermentation does not need to add auxiliary materials).
The specific practice is 1 cube of fermented chicken manure, mixed with 1 cube of fresh chicken manure, add 1 packet of “poultry manure special high-temperature bacteria fermenting agent” to activate the bacterial solution, the moisture content of 50%-60% can be, the height of the pile is greater than 1 meter, the width of 1.2 meters, generally about 7 days to complete the fermentation.
In this way, the fermented chicken manure can be easily fermented into solid organic fertilizer without filler by mixing the fermented chicken manure with fresh chicken manure as the mother material.

3. Method of fermenting chicken manure into liquid organic fertilizer
(1) Put 1 package of “livestock fluid manure fast fermenting agent” into 20 kg of warm water and activate it for more than 24 hours.
(2) 10 tons of chicken manure in the pool (water content of 30%-80% or even higher, you can also add phosphorus and calcium-rich bone meal, protein-rich meal, etc.) mixed with water into about 30-50 cubic meters (adding water is based on how much you need to decide), add the above activation strain splashed on it, the pool with a transparent film to form a small greenhouse (so that rain can not enter the effect of heat preservation), about 15 days or so that the basic odorless water fertilizer rich in probiotics, according to different crops directly or diluted crop fertilization.
4. The benefits of fermenting chicken manure into organic fertilizer
1)The fermented chicken manure has no odor and will not cause the burning of roots and seedlings to plants, which is conducive to workers’ fertilization and irrigation.
2)Kill diseases and insects: Fermentation with microbial fungicides can make the temperature rise quickly to over 60℃ and consume a lot of oxygen, which can kill the diseases and insect eggs in manure.
3) Reduce residue: microbial fungicides can use a variety of substances in chicken manure to reproduce in large quantities, which can greatly reduce the content of antibiotics, heavymetals, and other substances, and reduce the residue in the soil.
